Cyber-crime presents a real threat to global supply chains. As cyber criminals find vulnerabilities, mitigating risk and optimizing global cargo flow becomes a greater challenge. Current threats and risks will be identified and solutions for prevention and resolution of risk will be explored. In addition, curriculum gaps and training will be assessed to inform updates to supply chain management curriculum in our public colleges and universities.

This year’s report presents an overview of the economy during the past year, the logistics industry’s key trends, and the total U.S. logistics costs for 2015. The “State of Logistics Report†is widely used by supply chain management and logistics professionals and organizations as the premier benchmark for U.S. logistics activity. This year, WCIT is honored to announce that U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell will provide the keynote address.
Secretary Jewell will share her unique perspective as both a member of President Obama’s cabinet and former Washington state business executive on the importance of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). She will discuss the role good trade policies play in opening new markets to U.S. business, creating new opportunities for our workers and advancing efforts to protect the environment.
