Education & Training

  • Entry Level Training: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA partners with the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW) to educate food and agricultural companies on export finance issues via a series of workshops. These events provide information on new and existing credit and export finance assistance programs.
  • Industry Specific Training: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA provides export readiness consultations for agricultural firms that are new to exporting or looking to enter a new export market.
  • Advanced Level Training: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA partners with the Washington State Department of Commerce to host two highly‐regarded, intensive certificate courses throughout the state.

WSDA Introduces Washington companies to qualified foreign buyers through trade missions, trade shows, trade leads, in-store promotions and showcases of Washington products. They maintain a searchable database of Washington food and agricultural suppliers to help connect buyers and sellers.
  • Research & Development: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA is involved in a variety of research and development efforts around seeds, animal health and other agriculture issues. They maintain a listing of research and development grant opportunities.
  • Targeted Marketing: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA provides marketing assistance for markets throughout the world including China, Europe, India & Middle East, Japan, Korea, Mexico & Latin America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

Promotion, Outreach & Advocacy

  • Trade Missions: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA Introduces Washington companies to qualified foreign buyers through trade missions, trade shows, trade leads, in-store promotions and showcases of Washington products.
  • Trade Shows: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA works with other states and the Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) to organize participation at trade shows around the world.  Many of these are sponsored or endorsed by the USDA. 

Technical Assistance

  • Filing Required Documentation: WSDA supports the producers, distributors, and consumers of Washington's food and agricultural products. WSDA assists companies with the many detailed documents required for export transactions that are unique to agriculture.
